E.X.O. v0.12.0

Today I completed the core game loop with the implementation of a technology tree and crafting system. In this build, pilots can choose from nine paths of upgrades which augment their exosuit with bonuses and new abilities.

  • correcting some movement bugs related to gravity
  • implementing engine and tire cues while turning
  • adding subtle feedback when sticking a landing
  • implementing the exosuit upgrades system
  • defining nine different upgrade paths and bonuses
  • balancing the economy of upgrades and materials
  • implementing the synthesis and individual upgrade screens
  • various tweaks and fixes

Tomorrow I hope to implement the unlockable movement abilities, including strafing and turning mid-air, and begin outlining the dynamic soundtrack.
