Today I completed the core game loop with the implementation of a technology tree and crafting system. In this build, pilots can choose from nine paths of upgrades which augment their exosuit with bonuses and new abilities.
- correcting some movement bugs related to gravity
- implementing engine and tire cues while turning
- adding subtle feedback when sticking a landing
- implementing the exosuit upgrades system
- defining nine different upgrade paths and bonuses
- balancing the economy of upgrades and materials
- implementing the synthesis and individual upgrade screens
- various tweaks and fixes
Tomorrow I hope to implement the unlockable movement abilities, including strafing and turning mid-air, and begin outlining the dynamic soundtrack.
