THE OMEGA REACH v1.3.0
Steam demo, shiny instruments, and more!
Greetings curators!
I’m excited to share a special update for Steam Next Fest—and announce that the demo for THE OMEGA REACH is now available for download on Steam! Continue reading for an overview of its key features, the full patch notes, and an update on Steam Deck support. Enjoy!
Key features
- Holographic instruments. Like your favorite collectible card game, the universe has been seeded with ultra-rare, shiny instruments. Keep them for yourself, or sell them for a massive windfall.
- Quirks, quirks, and more quirks. Reveal a hundred new quirks which explore your instruments’ smells, tastes, and other finer details. And you may find that their names—and their homeworlds—have more variety too.
- Another cellar expansion. Venture deeper to the fifth floor. Its mechanics have been refined to generate more interesting layouts that evolve with subsequent visits.
- More cellar interactions. Banish the earthen curse of the vision, draw an earthen weapon from the armory, and take an earthen penny from the trove. The rarest tiles have received unique interactions and flavor text.
- Lost visitors. Speaking of which, is that… a talking cat?!? Use your memory to help lost visitors escape the cellar, but beware of the consequences of providing poor directions.
- The polish that you expect. Like previous updates, this was an opportunity to improve the overall experience with various enhancements and fixes.

A note on Steam Deck support
In addition to its standard gamepad controls, THE OMEGA REACH is configured to support the Steam Deck’s touchscreen. Leading up to the start of Steam Next Fest on October 19th, I will be integrating the project with the Steamworks SDK. This will allow it to set the best default settings, such as interface scaling and particle density, to reach Steam Deck Verified status. I’m looking forward to fully supporting this unique device!
Thanks for playing!
